Jesus said to another man, "Follow me."

But the man replied, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father."

Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead.

Still another said "I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say

good-by to my family."

Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit."

 

 

예수가 어떤 사람에게 말했다. "나를 따라라."

그러자 그 사람이 대답했다.

"먼저 내가 가서 아버지의 장례를 치르게 해주십시오."

예수가 그에게 말했다.

"죽은 자들에게 그들의 죽은 자를 장례 치르게 하라."

(네 가족들에게 아버지의 장례를 맡겨라)

그래도 그가 또 말했다.

"내가 당신을 따르겠으나 먼저 내가 돌아가서 가족에게 작별인사를 하도록 해주십시오."

예수가 대답했다.

"손에 쟁기를 잡고 뒤를 돌아보는 자는 나를 따를 자로서 적합하지 않다."
